NGARESCORR Beta V1.1

What is NGARESCORR Beta V1.1?
    In resistivity method of geophysics, two of the main problems about collected are dead electrode corruptions and temporary measurement errors. Both of these problems cause relatively dramatic resistivity values that we call corruptions. Although it is easy to see the problematic data areas after plotting a pseudosection of the data with RES2DINV, it is still eye-tiring to find and delete those corrupted data in those 500 lines of DAT files.

    NGARESCORR (Nedim Gökhan Aydın's RESistivity CORRector) is a small program I wrote using Game Maker, and it is used to easily view data, detect dead electrodes and corrupted data, delete all the unwanted data and save as a new DAT file to be processed using RES2DINV program. All you have to do is putting the resistivity DAT files in the same folder as program, load the data into the program, point out dead electrodes (if necessary) and corrupted measurement points, and pressing DELETE after you are done.

FEATURES

• Easy to view colored resistivity section.
• All the data information from the DAT file's header are shown with their meanings.
• The largest, the smallest and mean resistivity values from the DAT file are shown.
• Coloring Factor feature that can be used when the data is not colored properly in case of high resistivity differences.
• The electrode positions can be shown above the resistivity section with electrode number or distance.
• All the information for each data point can be read just by hovering mouse over the data point.
• Visible corrupted data can be marked to be deleted by clicking left mouse button.
• Right clicking any dead marked point will remove the dead mark.
• All the corrupted data caused by a dead electrode can be marked by pressing BACKSPACE and inputting dead electrode's number.
• After all the corrupted data marked, by pressing DELETE a different DAT file with corrupted data removed can be created.

This program can not do the following (yet*):

• Load and view an pre-edited DAT file.*
• Change the data values.*
• Work on larger profiles than 999 meters.*
• Create a DAT file that can be loaded by anything than RES2DINV.*
